Schools are usually very grateful for gifts of artefacts and practical things to use in lessons. The local church can be a useful source for your school.
Once you are clear about particular things that your school needs, let the local church know and see whether they can help. Church members may have all sorts of things they no longer need which you could put to good use.
Some churches, as part of their giving programme, choose to set aside an amount each month to fund a particular resource. Or if your school had a larger need, the church could publicise the need to the congregation and commit to provide a certain amount of funding for that project.
Encourage the school to participate at the church fundraising activities and consider partnering with the church to fundraise for a particular project. The church could offer you free access to the buildings and church equipment for the school's own fundraising events.
Churches can encourage members to collect the various supermarket school vouchers when they are available and donate them to your school. With this combined working, small schools have been able to get more computer and sports equipment than would be possible on their own.
